What to Buy at Walmart in August!

It’s August! Summer is winding down and school is starting up which means great deals on school supplies and other Back to School goodies. Here’s what you need to be on the look out for!

Groceries

Fast Breakfast Food – You know you will need to make a quick breakfast for your kids before the bus comes so look for deals on frozen waffles, microwave oatmeal and cold cereal.

Wine – We will soon be at the time the new grapes are harvested so frequently wine will be discounted to make way for the new varieties coming out. Besides, once the kids are all out of the house, that’s the perfect time to do a little day-drinking!

Produce – Avocado, Green Beans, Beans, Berries, Blueberries, Cherries, Corn, Cucumber, Eggplant, Figs, Grapes, Melons, Onion, Peaches, Bartlett Pears, Bell Pepper, Plums, Raspberries, Summer Squash, Tomatillo, Tomato, Watermelon, Zucchini. Don’t forget the apps that give you rebates on produce.

Non Food

Back to School – School Supplies, Backpacks, School clothes, Kleenex, Lunchboxes. Basically whatever you need to get your kid out the door to school will have either coupons or be on sale. If you want an even better deal, be sure to shop on your state’s 2015 Tax FREE Weekend if you have one available to you.

Cleaning supplies – Most laundry detergents and bleach will be on sale as well as hand soap and Purell.

End of Summer Clearance – Toward the end of the month you will start seeing a few deals on things like charcoal, sunscreen, Insect Repellent and patio furniture.
