Blue Bell Expands Recall of Ice Cream, Walmart Removes From Shelves.

Do you remember the Blue Bell recall I told you about a few weeks ago?  Well there has been a new development.

Walmart, Sam’s Club, Kroger and other grocery store chain are removing Blue Bell products that originated in the Broken Arrow, OK Blue Bell plant.  It appears that there is no longer any Blue Bell from this plant on the shelves as employees from these chains worked all weekend to sort through their stock and make sure nothing from Broken Arrow remained.

As of right now, there hasn’t been an official recall.  Blue Bell is doing this voluntarily and except for the initial listeria scare a few weeks ago, there hasn’t been any further cases of contamination.  If you have any ice cream from Broken Arrow, either discard it or return it to the store for a full refund.

Products made at the facility will have the letters "O," "P," "Q," "R," "S," or "T" following the "code date" printed on the bottom of the package, according to the CDC.
