January is National Brain Teaser Month: Who Has the Slowest Camel?

January is National Brain Teaser Month and I love brain teasers!  Here’s what we are going to.  I’ll post a different brain teaser 3 times a week, if you think you know the answer, leave it in the comments.  I’d love to see how smart my readers are!

Did you get the answer to Friday’s Brain Teaser?  The family are a little stuck until they borrow a game from their neighbors. This allows: one ninth of 18 is 2, one third of 18 is 6 and one half of 18 is 9. Now, this adds to 2 + 6 + 9 = 17, leaving the spare game to give back to their neighbor!

Here is this week’s Brain Teaser

An Arab sheikh tells his two sons to race their camels to a distant city to see who will inherit his fortune. The one whose camel is slower will win. Reluctantly, the brothers started out on this unconventional “race”. After wandering aimlessly for days, they came across a wise man and asked him for advice. After hearing the advice of the wise man, the brothers jump on the camels and race as fast as they can to the city. What advice did the wise man offer?
