Walmart VS Amazon: It’s Getting Personal!

First, Amazon announced their Amazon Prime Day.  Not to be out done, Walmart announced their Dare to Compare event.  But they didn’t just announce it, they had to take a not-to-subtle swipe at Amazon.

Their blog included the quote, ““We’ve heard some retailers are charging $100 to get access to a sale, but the idea of asking customers to pay extra in order to save money just doesn’t add up for us. We’re standing up for our customers and everyone else who sees no rhyme or reason for paying a premium to save.”

Well, la-di-dah!

Not to be out done, Amazon came back today with this little doozy.

“We’ve heard some retailers are charging higher prices for items in their physical stores than they do for the same items online.  The idea of charging your in-store customers more than your online customers doesn’t add up for us, but it’s a good reminder that you’re usually better off shopping online.”

Yikes!  Although he’s got a point, Walmart shouldn’t have different prices online and in-store, especially now that they price match their own online prices anyway.

Honestly, I can’t until tomorrow to see all the deals unfold.  It’s gonna be awesome!  be sure you come back here all day Wednesday to see the best deals!
